Harsh direct sunlight
I found this helpful: stand so the sun is facing behind you, block your subject with your body/camera’s shadow, then turn on the built-in flash. You want to block the flash partially with a finger or two, this will limit and somewhat diffuse the light and make an image that was not usable, into something that you can be proud of.
